Candidate Statement
I am committed to ensuring that UNC student athletes have a full academic and athletic experience. I believe in equity and transparency for student athletes. I previously served on the Faculty Athletics Committee from 2017-2020. While serving on the committee, I worked to advance student athlete mental health, address gaps in graduation rates for student athletes, and advocate for student athletes to be able to participate in internships and study abroad programs. I am running for re-election to the Faculty Athletics Committee to continue this important work.
