UNC Service

I previously served as a representative of the School of Nursing (SON) to the Faculty Council from 2014-2017 and a member of the Faculty Assembly 2016-2018 and chair of the Faculty Assembly delegation from 2018-2021. Over the past 20 years, I have been an active member of the SON faculty governance, led a school-wide curriculum transformation between 2017-2019 and participated in various committees and task forces that have supported the educational programs offered by the SON.

Candidate Statement

I was invited to be on the ballot for the Educational Policy Committee and am very excited to be considered for service on this committee. As a nurse and an educator, I enjoy the process of reviewing, revising, and implementing policies with a focus on equity and inclusion. My 20 years of experience teaching in diverse clinical settings and within the classroom, as well as my leadership experience has provided me with the necessary knowledge and skills that I would draw from as a member of this committee.
