My service at UNC has been mostly limited to roles within my department, where I have served as Director of the Archaeology Program and Chair of the Archaeology Committee (2019-2020). Since 2020, I have also served as the Chair of the Academic Advisory Committee for the Ackland Art Museum.
Candidate Statement
I am running for a position in the Faculty Grievance Committee out of a deep desire to support my fellow faculty at UNC. I feel very privileged to work in a department that is immensely supportive of their faculty, students, and staff. But I know from experience that this is not something we want can take for granted and that in moments of tension and crisis, it is important to have colleagues who can listen, advise, and help mediate between aggrieved parties. I would like to help make sure that all faculty at UNC, especially those who come from underrepresented groups, feel that their concerns are heard, seen, and understood.
