UNC Service
I have been a member of Faculty Council since 2015 and currently serve as a member of the advisory committee for the Center for Faculty Excellence. I served as a member of the Faculty Council Nominating Committee in 2019 and as a member of the Faculty Council Agenda Committee in 2019-2020. I've also enjoyed serving as a discussion leader for the Carolina Summer Reading program.
Candidate Statement
I have been a faculty member at UNC since 1997 and a member of Faculty Council since 2015. I've served as a faculty member at both the Gillings School of Global Public Health and the School of Government. My work focuses on integrating and applying knowledge in applied settings. By participating in the CFE's summer writing groups and Faculty Council I have had the benefit of working with students, staff and faculty colleagues across campus. As a member of Faculty Council I champion actions that strengthen equity, diversity and inclusion, cross-sector collaboration, and social justice.
