UNC Service
I am honored to run for a position on the Faculty Athletics Committee. I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. Since arriving at UNC in 2015, I have served in a clinical leadership as the Pediatric Dialysis Medical Director for UNC Hospitals and Clinics.
Candidate Statement
I am a former NCAA Division 1 student-athlete and mentor to UNC student-athletes. I recognize the barriers to student-athlete success having had experience balancing completion of a STEM degree while competing as a student-athlete.
I previously served on the student-athlete advisory committee at my undergraduate institution where I contributed to the development of initiatives to support graduation and the post-graduate transition. I’m passionate about supporting the on-going pursuit of excellence for student-athletes and the athletic program at UNC.
