I currently serve as a full Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery here at UNC, where I’ve been on faculty since 2003. During over 25 years total in academic medicine, I’ve sought to involve myself in every aspect of academic life including education, innovative research, and of course, leadership within my field and beyond.
Candidate Statement
After more than 15 years of service within my Department and the School of Medicine, I would like to get involved at the University level more broadly. With a background in both Medicine (MD with Honors, 1997) and business (MBA with Finance Concentration, 2019), I believe I would bring an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and innovative spirit to the position. It would be a tremendous honor for me to serve on the Faculty Council representing our non-tenured faculty in the School of Medicine.
