UNC Service

Over my brief time at UNC I have been very active in terms of departmental service. I have served on multiple search committees, been the fixed term faculty member of the chair's advisory committee. In addition, I have been heavily involved with student focused service. These include being faculty advisor and helping create an undergraduate research journal in economics called Ceteris Paribus, being the faculty advisor for the federal reserve challenge team, and restarting and acting as director of the credential in quantitative financial economics within the department of economics.

Candidate Statement

Prior to joining the University I had extensive service in curriculum design, and admissions at my previous place of employment. I would like to bring this experience to this position with the goal of providing more support for our mission of undergraduate education. I would ultimately like to provide more support for our many undergraduate instructors especially those in large lecture environments. I hope to improve not only the educational experience for undergraduates but also the work environment for ourselves. I also would aim to improve communication regarding policies between University Administration, faculty and students, to provide equitable opportunities for our students and fellow faculty.
