Candidate Statement
I am interested in continuing service to UNC by focusing on improving the experiences for our student athletes. As a faculty member, I have had the opportunity to support student-athletes in the classroom as they manage balancing their academic and athletic careers. Additionally, as a mother to a former Division I athlete I understand the personal, social/emotional challenges these young people face balancing the rapidly changing landscape of college athletics & their academic careers. I hope to bring my skills as a bridge leader to foster greater collaboration and increased voice for our athletes.
