Candidate Statement

Through service within and outside of my School, I have grown to appreciate and understand the diverse community of thought and perspective in which we live, work, learn, and share. I hear from and work with undergraduates from across the campus, primarily in the College of A&S through academic advising. Listening and learning from colleagues from all areas of campus in committee/task force work has shaped my own thoughts about fulfilling the mission of the University and preserving/protecting aspects of Carolina that keep us a top tier university. Both my professional and personal lives have been enriched through service to this University. Each service opportunity has allowed me to advocate for students, student athletes, fixed term and all faculty in a variety of ways. My expertise comes from engaging with ALL, not just a few.
