My current service includes being a Provost Distinguished Faculty Leader, serving on the University Teaching Awards Committee, and as chair of the EXSS Curriculum Committee. Previously, I served on the Administrative Board of the Library, Vice Chancellor for Research Search Committee, Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Reviewer group, and the WakeMed/UNC Pediatric Emergency Medicine Scholarship Committee. Within my department, I served on the EXSS Transition to Remote Learning Task Force, Human Movement Science Admissions Committee, Scholar Athlete Award Selection Committee, and Ronald W. Hyatt Scholarship Committee.

Candidate Statement

I am currently an Associate Professor and Associate Chair for Curricula and Faculty Affairs in Exercise and Sport Science (EXSS) as well as a Provost Distinguished Faculty Leader. I also currently serve as EXSS Curriculum Committee chair where we oversee and help develop new curricula in one of the largest departments in the College. As a 10-year faculty member, I am passionate about educational policy and implementation strategies supporting the diverse and growing needs of our students, faculty, campus, and state - while remaining true to our mission at Carolina. With the growth in our state and the evolving landscape of our schools, programs, and curricula, I am honored to be nominated to serve, as I believe impactful and strategic educational policy and implementation is essential for the health and positive growth of our campus.
