I am currently serving on Faculty Council, having been appointed for a one-year term when another member retired.

Candidate Statement

In my one year on Faculty Council, I have appreciated the opportunity to learn about and engage in university-level affairs. I hope to continue and deepen this engagement. I have been on the UNC faculty for fourteen years, so I feel familiar with and personally invested in the institution. I've witnessed several turbulent events here, and in each case, faculty voice, especially as expressed through the Council, has been crucial in steering the university in the right direction. I don't have a particular agenda, other than to carefully consider each issue as it comes up and vote/speak in what I believe to be the best interests of the university.
