Candidate Statement

My interest in the General Education Oversight Committee is due to my passion for teaching and curricular planning. I have been working with accreditation and curricular assessments since I began at UNC. I have led the design of the athletic training program, the development of learning outcomes assessments, and am working on the development of the Bachelor of Science degree in the EXSS department. Because I was a faculty advisor for the College of Arts and Science, I am very familiar with curricular challenges and assisting students. I have directed clinical and research experiences courses which are so important in our new curriculum. Through these experiences I hope to assist in the smooth transition of the IDEAS in Action Curriculum. I truly enjoy working with undergraduate curricula and think my experience will be helpful.
