My service has been within the Department of Biology, where I have been involved in the committee that put together the new biology undergraduate curriculum that was introduced in the Fall of 2022. I am also chairing the department's committee to assess the new biology undergraduate curriculum.

Candidate Statement

As someone who is still relatively new to UNC (and joined the institution at the height of the pandemic), I am running for this position as a way to get to know the educational policies that impact our students better and expand my service outside of my department. I also hope to be part of conversations and decisions that explores various policies to put in place to provide our students a fair and equitable educational experience. I have a strong background in educational curriculum design and assessment, particularly in STEM disciplines (biology specifically), and hope to bring my experiences to support the mission of this committee.
