Candidate Statement
I am running for this position because I believe library is a unique and critical resource to our university. Members of our campus community rely on the library and its resources in a myriad of ways to support teaching, research, and other university functions. Information access coupled with the preservation of existing collections and the robust skills and knowledge of our librarians makes the library a hub on campus that can and should support our diverse community of scholars. Ensuring that the library can continue to meet the changing needs of learners and researchers is imperative, and serving on this committee will allow me to educate myself and others, along with advocate for the library to remain a vital and vibrant resource on our campus.
