I have served on the Hussman School of Journalism & Media's graduate admission committee since 2020. My position as a senior researcher at the Center for Information, Technology, and Public Life has involved significant service for the university that includes organizing events, supporting graduate students and post-docs, monthly research workshops and monthly business meetings.

Candidate Statement

I am seeking to serve as a representative voice to support the university's efforts to survive increased pressure from outside forces, such as attacks on academic freedom, and to see UNC thrive as we work to fulfill the promises of a truly supportive and diverse university. I see serving on the Faculty Council as a way to represent faculty interests in these efforts and to support our greater academic community.
