Candidate Statement
Engaged service on bodies such as Faculty Council is fundamental to maintaining UNC's collegial nature and cohesive intellectual identity. As a tenured faculty member in the Gillings School of Global Public Health, and as a Center Director, I have worked to build and sustain collaborative multidisciplinary networks with colleagues across campus whose work intersects with my field. I am committed to true bidirectional communication and collaborative problem-solving. I have enjoyed my past service to the university and would very much appreciate the chance to serve UNC through participation on Faculty Council.
