I am the Vice Chair of Academic Affairs for the Department of Pediatrics and oversee the promotions and tenure actions for the Department. I have been a member of the UNC School of Medicine APT committee for Assistant Professor, tenure track to Associate Professor, with tenure.

Candidate Statement

I am fully committed to ensuring that the faculty at UNC who meet the mark for promotion are promoted on time and as efficiently as possible, while ensuring and maintaining equity for all and adhering to UNC policies. I am willing to being a resource for faculty considering promotion in order to optimize their academic careers. I am willing to work with leaders across campus to modify and clarify policies as permitted in order to provide maximum clarity and maintain fairness.
