UNC Service

Current physician leader for general medicine (MDU) teaching service. Member of Academy of Educators. Served on Committee on Admissions in School of Medicine for 3 years. Served on multiple hospital committees (multidisciplinary trauma committee, trauma advisory committee) and divisional groups (clinical operations workgroup, scheduling taskforce). Volunteer physician night coverage for inpatient COVID unit in 2020.

Candidate Statement

During my time at UNC, I have served as an advocate for medical education, quality improvement and excellence in patient care. I am committed to improving the experience of our fixed term faculty, who are crucial to the success of our institution but face unique challenges. I would advocate for our School of Medicine during this period of rapid change in medical education and healthcare. As the physician leader for general medicine inpatient teaching service, I am deeply committed to medical education, striving to create a dynamic learning environment for all learners while providing excellent patient care. My experiences highlight my ability to work with a diverse range of individuals. I am deeply committed to UNC and would act with integrity and passion to promote the success of the faculty, students and institution.
