Candidate Statement

I joined the National Institute of Mental Health Psychoactive Drug Screening Program (NIMH PDSP) in the Department of Pharmacology in 2007 as a research associate, and became a fixed-term Research Assistant Professor and Assistant Scientific Director of the PDSP in 2014. The NIMH PDSP provides pharmacological screening services of psychoactive compounds to PIs from educational institutions funded by NIH. My main duties include supervising daily operations, conducting research, reviewing/approving results, and providing technical support. I don't have classroom teaching duty, but I train technicians and postdocs in the PDSP. If I am elected as a representative on the Faculty Council, I will listen to and speak for non-tenured members in the School of Medicine.
