Candidate Statement
Service on Faculty Council is a path to learning more about the University and its operations, as well as providing input regarding the many challenges currently facing us. My time as a department chair, as well as my long term engagement with multiple Centers on campus, provide an opportunity to see issues from different perspectives and to observe the effectiveness of different approaches to problem solving. I have enjoyed my past service on Faculty Council, and would very much like to continue my contributions.
