Candidate Statement

In the current environment, I recognize the importance of faculty maintaining a central role in the shared governance of our university. I have been at UNC for almost two decades, with experience as an assistant professor, as an associate professor, and now as a full professor. In addition to my longstanding service to the POLI department, I also recognize the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation through my work with the PWAD curriculum. As a member of the Arts and Sciences Advisory Committee, I would work to maintain the integrity of the tenure and promotion process in the College and support the research and teaching excellence of our faculty.
