Candidate Statement
Although I've served the better part of two terms on this committee over several years, I have never been elected to it. Instead I twice replaced elected members who stepped down (the workload can be significant). The committee must review promotion, tenure, and reappointment decisions made at the department level; I bring experience, good judgment, impartiality, and sympathy to the position. I am running to ensure that tenure and promotion decisions are as fair as possible.
