UNC Service
I have worked for the Health Sciences Library for almost 28 years and have been working at the Undergraduate Library for two. In my time at UNC, I have created and maintained the websites for the HSL and NC Health Info, the consumer health site developed by HSL. I continue to work with the Carolina Blood Drive as its webmaster and historian. I coordinate the AR/VR Faculty Learning Community at UNC.
Candidate Statement
A strong library is the foundation of success for any university. UNC has faced many challenges and will face many more. I want to help University Libraries to stay a strong foundational part of UNC. There are many areas the libraries can be and should be a partner. I hope to bring such areas as AR/VR, immersive technologies, and digital literacy more into library services. I want the libraries to be a first thought, rather than a last resort in the minds of students, faculty, and staff.
