Candidate Statement

Faculty governance is more important now than ever. UNC has a strong history of organized faculty and representation that has helped establish it as an internationally leading, public higher education institution. The UNC faculty council has consistently been on the forefront of discussions, information dissemination, and decision-making for issues important to all. Whether in prosperous or challenging times, it is imperative that faculty are actively involved in UNC’s shared governance to advance our individual/unit and collective/university missions. I seek to serve on the UNC faculty council to represent the Adams School of Dentistry and if elected, I commit to doing so in a responsible, participatory, and community-engaged manner.
