I am excited for the opportunity to continue serving on the Faculty Athletics Committee. I am a Professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience and my expertise is in the treatment of addiction and mood disorders. Since arriving at UNC in 2013 I have served on the Faculty Research Committee, Faculty Council, and Faculty Athletics Committee.
Candidate Statement
UNC uniquely exemplifies excellence in both athletics and academics and I am passionate about supporting the continued success of both. Having mentored and taught many of our athletes, I have observed the challenges they face and am dedicated to ensuring they receive the support needed to navigate their college experience. My first tenure on the Faculty Athletics Committee solidified this commitment, and I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving in a post COVID environment where there will be more opportunities to fulfill our mission in person.
