UNC Service

Currently I serve as the Assistant Professor representative appointed to the PhD Executive Committee. I was also a committee member Committee on Communications Core for the Lineberger Equity Committee from 2021-2023.
I have also served as the Assistant Director of the UNC Lineberger, NC Central University, Sylvia Lauterborn and Warren Trent Piver Oncology Nursing Fellowship from 2021 to present.

Candidate Statement

Service and a fair approach are two of my core values as a clinician scientist, researcher and human being. As a member of the faculty, I support processes which allow for a fair review of any grievance identified by the faculty. I hope to continue the fair and impartial approach that my colleagues on the committee currently provide.
My experience outside of UNC Chapel Hill has been as a leader in various roles, I have served as the Co-Chair of the Oncology Nurse Scientist Collaborative, a national group of oncology nurse scientist researchers (2022-2023). I also served as a Supportive Core Member of the Cancer and Aging Research Group (2020-2023), my experience as both a leader and member of committees has prepared me for representing Assistant Professors/Librarians on the Faculty Grievance Committee.
