UNC Service

I have been the Director of the Master’s degree program in the Division of Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling in the Department of Allied Health Sciences (AHS) in the School of Medicine since 2011. I am also the clinical psychologist for the UNC Heart Transplant, Lung Transplant and LVAD programs. I serve as the Wellness Director for the Department of AHS and I am a wellness liaison in the SOM. I have served one term on the SOM Associate Professor APT Committee, I served two terms as a member of the Administrative Board of the Graduate School, and I served as a member of the UNC Health Sciences Library Advisory Board.

Candidate Statement

I am running for the Committee on Appointments, Promotions and Tenure representing faculty in the School of Medicine. I hope to have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other committee members to provide thoughtful, comprehensive, fair and expedient reviews of the materials submitted to the SOM APT committee. My one term on the SOM Associate Professor APT Committee, two terms as a member of the Administrative Board of the Graduate School, and work in the Wellness realm at UNC have provided me with experiences that will enable me to hit the ground running in this position.
