Candidate Statement

With a commitment to academic excellence and respect for the APT process, I am eager to contribute my expertise and perspective to UNC APT Committee. As the UNC SOM Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, I co-led the revision of the SOM APT guidelines while fostering a culture of transparency in the processes. I engage in both research and teaching; thus, I can appreciate the diverse needs of faculty across disciplines. I am committed to ensuring that the APT process remains robust, equitable, and supportive of faculty career goals. I am also committed to upholding the highest standards of excellence and fairness to ensure that UNC remains an example of excellence in intellectual inquiry, creativity, and innovation. I look forward to the opportunity to serve our university and contribute to the advancement of our academic community.
