Candidate Statement

Statement of Interest: Drawing from my experience as a former college athlete (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Division III basketball), I appreciate the challenges that student athletes face at UNC balancing rigorous academic commitments with the demands of athletics. With this insight, I am committed to championing the academic endeavors of student athletes and fostering seamless communication between UNC Athletics and the esteemed Faculty Council. Together, we can ensure that these dedicated individuals thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Previous Experience: At the University of Texas at Austin, I worked with the Associate Athletic Director Arthur Johnson (now AD at Temple U) and Men's basketball coach Shaka Smart (now coach at Marquette U) to mentor athletes who were interested in studying business.
