UNC Service

I am a faculty member in the department of Orthopaedics and Vice Chair of Clinical Operations. My service outside of the department includes serving as a member of and then chair of the Appointments, Promotions and Tenure committee for fixed term faculty. I chaired a task force relating to faculty development and wellness as part of the new strategic plan and continue to help implement the suggestions that were identified. I served on the outpatient goal task force that worked on creating clearer job classifications I have been part of a 5 year chairman's review, and currently am a member of the fixed term faculty committee for UNC.

Candidate Statement

For 9 years I have enjoyed working with faculty within and outside of my department at UNC. I have had a broad exposure to clinical practice, academics and committees across the university. My experiences have given me a solid understanding of the issues that pertain to non-tenure track faculty. I believe I can be a valuable addition to the faculty council and look forward to the opportunity to serve.
