I have been a clinician in the department of orthopedics, sports medicine since 2011. I am currently the chief of non-operative sports and musculoskeletal medicine as well as the vice chair of clinical operations for the orthopedics department. I have previously served as a member then chair for the fixed term APT (promotions) committee and I currently also serve on the university's fixed-term faculty committee. I am also an active member on the Faculty Athletics Committee and serve as a rep for womens soccer and mens lacrosse.

Candidate Statement

I appreciate the opportunity to serve a second term on the faculty council and represent the school of medicine and our faculty on this important committee. I believe that being involved at the institution beyond our day to day roles is a critical aspect to how we all work and contribute to help make Carolina great. I believe that my prior involvement in leadership roles within the department and across the university as well as my connections to the SOM, college, athletics and the other schools at the university put me in a place to have valuable thoughts and input as a member of the faculty council. I have enjoyed being a member for these past 2 years and feel that this second term will continue to allow me to be a positive participant in how this institution moves forward.
