UNC Service
In my 12 years as a faculty member at UNC, my service has centered at my School level. Within my school, I have served on and chaired various committees, led and supported initiatives, and mentored students from undergraduate to the doctoral level. I am interested in expanding my horizons as an engaged member of the faculty to serve at a larger university capacity and welcome the opportunity to serve on the Faculty Council if elected.
Candidate Statement
It would be my honor to represent non-tenured track faculty from the School of Nursing. Having been a faculty member since 2010, I have a deep understanding of the priorities that are important to this esteemed group. I have been Lead Faculty in the School of Nursing at the graduate and undergraduate levels, which has given me an even broader view of the needs of non-tenured track faculty. My main goal in this role on the Faculty Council would be to bring the concerns of non-tenured faculty to the Council for discussion and resolution when possible. Thank you for your consideration!
