Chair of the Faculty Beth Moracco sent the following message to faculty to let them know how to find information and stay informed about the School for Civic Life and Leadership.

Dear Colleagues,

The Faculty Executive Committee met with Dean Jim White of the College of Arts and Sciences on Monday, August 14, to discuss issues related to the proposed School of Civic Life and Leadership (SCLL), specifically the call for nominations for current tenured faculty members in the College to serve as initial faculty for the SCLL.

I know that many of you are interested in the status of the SCLL, but don’t receive information about it unless you are faculty in the College. Please know that you can find an archive of messages that Dean White has sent out—some of which concern the School—on the College’s website. The page is updated when new messages are released. Dean White will also discuss the SCLL at the first Faculty Council meeting of the semester on September 8th.

I hope all of you are doing well as summer winds down and we prepare for the semester to begin.

Sincerely,

Beth
