- The Council passed Resolution 2018-3 On Principles for the Protection and Promotion of Free Speech 28 – 4. The resolution reaffirms faculty commitment to free speech and free expression on Carolina’s campus and opposes the suppression of speech and expression on the basis of content.
- The Council approved five 2019 Honorary Degree nominees in closed session.
