The Faculty Council met on January 27, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Kerr Hall 2001 at the Eshelman School of Pharmacy. The following actions were taken:
- The Educational Policy Committee presented Resolution 2017-1 On Removing Restrictions on Graduation with Multiple Areas of Study for Students Enrolling in a Ninth Semester or Beyond. The resolution allows students who enroll in a ninth or tenth semester to graduate with a second major or minor reflected on their transcript. The resolution passed unanimously.
- The Educational Policy Committee presented Resolution 2017-2 On Enhanced Priority Registration. The resolution allows a subset of students served by the Office of Accessibility and Resource Services to register early during the priority registration period. The resolution was amended to raise the limit on the number of students who qualify for enhanced priority registration from five percent of the ARS population to six percent. The resolution was adopted as amended.
