The Faculty Council will meet on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Kerr Hall, 2001 (Eshelman School of Pharmacy). All faculty are welcome to attend. The Council will vote on two educational policies pertaining to removing restrictions on graduation for undergraduates with multiple areas of study and developing an enhanced priority registration system for students with exceptional circumstances.

Professor Kim Strom-Gottfried, director of ethics education and policy management, and Robin Cyr, associate vice chancellor of research, will discuss developments related to the Code of Conduct for sponsored research.

The Community and Diversity Committee has invited Dean Kevin Guskiewicz to discuss new diversity initiatives in the College of Arts and Sciences.

The Faculty Council will accept reports from the UNC-Chapel Hill Faculty Assembly Delegation, Chancellor’s Advisory Committee, Buildings and Grounds Committee, Research Committee, Appointments, Promotions and Tenure Committee and Faculty Hearings Committee.
