The Faculty Council will meet Friday, November 15, 2013, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Pleasants Room at Wilson Library. All members of the faculty are welcome to attend.

Highlights of Friday’s meeting will include discussion of a resolution endorsing efforts at the UNC system level to identify “core competencies” that students should develop through general education requirements, and a presentation about a major survey of undergraduate alumni recently conducted by the College of Arts and Sciences. The Council will also hear details from the annual reports of the Faculty Athletics Committee and Faculty Athletics Representative and get regular updates from Chancellor Carol Folt, Provost Jim Dean, and Chair of the Faculty Jan Boxill.
