Chair of the Faculty Lloyd Kramer and Chair-Elect Mimi Chapman are convening a community conversation for Carolina faculty on Friday, June 19 from 12-2 p.m. in order to discuss fall semester plans.

This conversation will include chairs of faculty governance committees, colleagues from Health Affairs and several campus centers, representatives from the Employee Forum and student leaders as well as Chancellor Guskiewicz, Provost Blouin and other administrative leaders. The conversation will also draw on comments that were collected in the recent faculty survey about returning to teach on campus in the fall.

The meeting will be held as a hybrid event with some participants attending in a campus auditorium wearing face masks and sitting far apart per campus social distancing guidelines, while most faculty will join via Zoom webinar. The webinar is for Carolina faculty and is limited to 500 attendees—please sign up early to get a spot. A livestream will also be available.
