I have served my department of Biostatistics and the School as a member of numerous committees, such as Research Council/Conflict of Interest Committee. I have served as an editorial board member for many top journals in my field; a member of different committees for professional organizations, such as ENAR and ASA; committee member for many professional conferences; and as an ad hoc reviewer and grant review panelist for the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health. Moreover, I have written countless letters of evaluation in promotion cases.

Candidate Statement

I would contribute to the APT committee’s efforts to promote our faculty's excellence in diverse aspects, including teaching, research, and services. I understand the uniqueness and differences of each unit on campus. I would ensure that APT standards are applied both rigorously and fairly and that the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion form for each promotion decision. I would value my opportunity of interacting with colleagues from different schools as well as the diversity and importance of our faculty’s scholarship.
