Candidate Statement

I believe strongly in the importance of faculty governance regarding all of the issues--policies and procedures, tenure and promotions, fiscal responsibility, etc.--for which the Advisory Committee is constituted to advise the Chancellor. As a current and former chair of a department and curriculum in two different divisions of the College, and with over thirty years as a member of the faculty who has served on a variety of different committees ranging from education policy to red tape, I bring a great deal of experience with how both the College and the University run. I'd like to bring that experience to bear in this new environment.
