As a new and incoming member to the Carolina Community, I have not yet had the opportunity to serve my UNC community outside of my School related duties. As such, I look forward to fully establishing myself as a Carolina faculty member by serving in the Faculty Grievance Committee.
Candidate Statement
As the fixed-term faculty representative for the Faculty Grievance Committee (FGC), I hope to serve my campus by learning the procedures involved in a Grievance hearing and fully uphold the standards required for a successful and fair Grievance hearing. As a prior faculty member at another UNC affiliated institution prior to joining the Carolina faculty, I served on the Student Conduct Board of my prior institution. This has provided me with some understanding of the process undergone during formal hearings.
