UNC Service

I serve as a faculty expert for the NC TraCS Dissemination and Implementation Science (D&I) Unit, a co-lead of the D&I Core for the Program for Precision Medicine in Health Care, and Director of Implementation Science in Precision Health and Society at the School of Pharmacy. Through these roles, I support trainees and faculty conducting D&I and build capacity for this transdisciplinary research. I hold fellowships and memberships across the health affairs campus and serve as a faculty reviewer for the Protocol Review Committee for Population Sciences. At the School of Pharmacy, I serve on teaching and global engagement focused committees.

Candidate Statement

I have had the honor of serving on the Faculty Council on behalf of non-tenured faculty at UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy since 2018. I am passionate about serving in faculty governance as an advocate for my colleagues and the students and community that we serve. I advocate for policies and actions that align with principles of equity and representation. My experiences working in service roles at the University to build capacity for transdisciplinary research, teaching in the classroom, mentoring students across campus (undergraduate through postdoctoral trainees), and serving on the faculty council these past three years has given me a broad understanding of the needs of our students and faculty. I believe these experiences have allowed me to be an effective faculty council member, and I am eager to continue serving in this role.
