Candidate Statement
I am running for this position because I have a sustained and active interest in University Libraries since my arrival at UNC-CH. I have helped to raise faculty interest for the purchase of rare books and digital resources for teaching and research in both Davis and Wilson Libraries. I bring to this position my own research trajectory, with bilingual work and experience with material sin Indigenous languages, and the ways in which I have actively structured my classes at both the graduate and undergraduate levels to bring the students to the library and create assignments around the use of primary sources.
