Candidate Statement

In my current service on this Committee, as in other leadership roles, I promote institutional equity and inclusive excellence among faculty and learners. As Immediate Past President of the Association of Professional Women in Medical Sciences, I worked to increase awareness of issues affecting women, advance equity in leadership opportunities, and develop tools for professional development. I ascribe to strengths-based leadership that emphasizes the collective strengths of individuals to respond to challenges, operationalize innovative strategies and address inequities. I am an engaging leader who recognizes the importance of excellence in education and in ensuring our university’s growth and prosperity. My election will enable continued engagement with others to navigate institutional challenges and advance campus priorities.
