I have served as Professor and Chair of the Department of Diagnostic Sciences at the Adams School of Dentistry for over 24 years and also have appointments in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery in the School of Medicine. During this same period, I have served as the Head of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and Director of the Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology Diagnostic Laboratory. I'm also a past Chair of the Faculty at the Adams School of Dentistry. Since the start of the pandemic, I have functioned as Lead Scientific Officer for Infection Control in the dental school.
Candidate Statement
I am running for this position to add to the voices from the ASOD, hoping to increase the visibility of the school and its perspectives. We all function better when we work together and have as much knowledge as possible about one another. I have functioned in advocacy roles for my professional specialty organizations and believe strongly that great things can be accomplished with an informed collective voice.
