UNC Service
I have served as the Associate Chief of Operations at UNC HBR and am currently serving as an Associate Program Director for Internal Medicine. I serve our community and the people of our state as an Internal Medicine Hospitalist and Palliative Care/Hospice Provider. I currently have the privilege of collaboratively working on numerous medical school and hospital committees including but not limited to the leadership council for AOE, education committee for the SOM, and the ethics committee for UNC Hospital. I also teach at the UME and GME levels and am privileged to teach a faculty development course for junior faculty.
Candidate Statement
I love the mission and vision of UNC. I was relatively nomadic for my adult life until I landed at UNC. I am indeed proud to be a Tar Heel. I completed my med-peds residency at UNC in 2008 and returned to UNC in 2016 where I have found my academic medical home. I am honored to work and serve with and among the people of NC. I am proud of our response to the COVID pandemic most recently and our involvement in vaccinating our state. I look forward to continuing my service to this community in this role.
