In the past I served in the faculty council as non-tenured representative for the natural science and mathematics. It was a number of years ago, I think around 2010, and I recall it was an interesting experience to have the opportunity to help decide in some of the issues connected to the university governance.
Candidate Statement
I have agreed to present myself as candidate to this position with the interest of serving the university. Times have changed significantly in North Carolina and the country as a whole since the last time I participated in the faculty council, so I am interested in helping to maintain the university focus and its guiding principles as the issues of the present time shape the evolution of the institution.
