Candidate Statement

Faculty governance is especially crucial today. In our politically charged environment, it is ever more important to have effective advocates who can represent a diverse faculty, ensure accountability of administrators, and negotiate the complexities of the moment. As a current member of the Faculty Executive Committee, I have been a strong voice on behalf of faculty and students, pushing for necessary action while helping the university navigate its recent challenges. I believe I have earned the respect of both colleagues and administrators without abandoning that critical voice. Along with my position on the FEC, I have served in various roles that have sensitized me to the myriad needs and perspectives of faculty, departments, and fields across campus. I am well-positioned and determined to continue the vital work of this committee.
