Campus wide, I currently serve as the non-tenured representative on the Faculty Council. Within my department, I serve on the Curricula Reform Committee, Advisory Committee, and multiple faculty search committees.

Candidate Statement

One week ago, Martha Flowers, international opera legend and the first African-American to serve on the faculty of the Department of Music at UNC-CH passed away the age of 96. She was recently nominated for an Honorary Degree from UNC and I prayed she would still be alive to receive it, but unfortunately, she's no longer with us. Election to the Honorary Degrees and Special Awards Committee would allow me an opportunity to serve UNC through recognizing the outstanding contributions made by former faculty, staff, alumni, and leaders within their respective fields. I would like the opportunity to help to "give them their flowers" while they are still with us.
