Candidate Statement

I am dedicated to supporting the success of fellow faculty through the appointment, tenure, and promotion process. In my service, I have worked for years with others to create and revise policies and procedures that are equitable and inclusive. One highly important area is the recognition of the full extent of our faculty’s varied accomplishments and service in a changing landscape. These areas vary by discipline, but could include, for example, open access or digital scholarship, creative works, community partnerships. As a highly interdisciplinary scholar who has been part of early open access conversations and many community/arts collaborations, I believe I have the broad knowledge to help interpret standards and outside evaluations across many departments. I am committed to ensuring integrity and fairness throughout these processes.
